How to Request Prayer

Camp Commissions First     Stephen Ministers

Our first class of Stephen Ministers, commissioned Sunday, June 5th. These high-commitment volunteers just completed 50 hours of training on providing Christian care so that they can focus on your needs and listen to what you really have to say, in complete confidentiality. Seated (from left) are Rosie Scarborough, Stephen Ministry Leader Janette Schroeder, Jean Gearhardt, Ada Hagler and Pierrette Tompkins. Standing (from left) are Joyce Erickson, Betsy Fatzinger, Fayann Nichols, Von Dyke, Amy Edwards, Art Stoveken, Shirley Stoveken and Stephen Ministry Leader Adrianna Sidelinger. Not pictured are Becky Kirtley and Bill Van Lowe.

Ministry for the Bereaved: A means by which we express love and concern and are supportive when a death occurs in someone’s immediate family. Groups of  women in the church take turns providing a meal or other caring gesture for the bereaved family, usually the day of the service.

Flowers: Members of the congregation provide flowers for the altar and narthex each Sunday If the donor chooses, Sunbeam Care uses the flowers to brighten the lives of shut-ins and the ill.
