Located at the corner of Road and Burgess Streets, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, the cornerstone for our church was laid in 1900. By 1902, City Road Methodist Episcopal Church (South) had been erected and boasted a membership of 107 dedicated and caring Christians. Today, from the corner of Burgess Street to the corner of Glade Street, City Road United Methodist Church now covers a large portion of the entire block, with complete frontage on Road Street. We have three adult Sunday School classes, a youth class, and a growing Sunday School for children. We also have enriching group fellowships for men, women, youth, and children which maintain regular meeting times and varied activities.
