“The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.” That is the simple and elegant expression of our mission in the Book of Discipline. At Oxford United Methodist Church we embrace that statement and expand on it. The mission of Oxford United Methodist Church is to serve our Lord and lead people to Jesus Christ through worship, outreach, and love of neighbor.

We strive to fulfill that mission is responding to the call of Christ to Love God and to Love our Neighbor in all we do. We believe that the making of disciples for Jesus Christ is a life long process, so we stress the importance of spiritual formation and Christian education. Disciples worship and praise God. Disciples invite others to become disciples. Disciples work to alleviate obstacles to others being able to respond as disciples.
